REHAB patients can use walking poles for exercise.

Our training programmes vary in tempo and intervals depending on your condition, but the same basic technique is used throughout, irrespective of age.

Functional training has its origins in rehabilitation. Physical therapists developed exercises that mimicked what patients did at home or work in order to return to their lives or jobs after an injury or surgery.

Such exercises will shore up muscles and connective tissues that have been weakened by trauma and disuse, thus allowing the athlete to perform at his/her best and decrease the risk of future injury.

Depending on the specifics of your injury, some or all of these exercises may not apply. Always check with your physician or physical therapist before beginning a stretching or strengthening program.

Training with poles is good for returning to work after a period of illness. With its easy tempo, low intensity and minimal stress, it's a perfect form of rehabilitation. Each exercise in the program contains non-stop exercises designed specifically for REHAB patients to help increase body awareness, balance, flexibility, coordination and strength.
